Syllabus

ADE offers our syllabus and curriculums in Jazz, Tap and Acrobatics from beginner to advanced levels, student teacher and teachers. Each level is developed in a way to support a dancer’s growth from the very beginning, all while encouraging their individual creativity and personal set of goals.

Each dancer is unique and that should be celebrated, which is why ADE offers optional variations and personal input from dancers and teachers at each level. Our syllabus uses stacked skills to develop a successful and well educated dancer. For example, learning the proper technique needed to execute a cartwheel in a beginner level will lead to a secure and successful arial in a more advanced level, this is true in all genres of dance through the ADE syllabus.

Through the ADE syllabus its founders have shared their step by step process used to train not only the youngest of dancers, but their most advanced student and qualified teachers.

ADE Tap

Starting from the introductory level, students will begin to develop an understanding of rhythm and musicality through the basics of tap. Those basics will continue to evolve in each level, stacking skills and progressively becoming more difficult. Understanding music becomes very important as the levels progress. ADE recognizes tap as one of the main factors in creating well rounded dancers and our tap syllabus covers a full spectrum understanding of tap and more.

ADE Jazz

The ADE Jazz syllabus will focus on the technical and artistic movements required for universal jazz dancers. Starting from the beginning dancers will be guided through warm-ups and conditioning that like the required skills will become more and more challenging as the levels progress. We feel jazz warm-ups are such a huge tool for not only creating strong and physically aware dancers but for injury prevention and technique as well.

Each level will include age-appropriate steps and musical understanding. There will be elements within the syllabus where a dancer is required to input their own personal creativity and artistry. As each dancer is unique, we hope this element will provide a moment for them to not only work towards personal goals but to give confidence and emphasis to the growing choreographers.

ADE Acro

The ADE Acrobatic Syllabus stacks flexibility, strength, and co-ordination from the start of a acrobatic dancers training and builds upon it as they progress.

We believe the acrobatic warm-ups/conditioning and clear skill development will provide an understanding of how the body works for each student. This is huge for advancing acrobatic trick levels in a safe and effective way. The teaching/training of an acrobatic dancer combined with the emphasis being on strength and proper placement is crucial to injury prevention and long-term development. .

The main goal is to create strong physical acrobatic dancers with a total understanding of body mechanics. The other primary focus for ADE is to create breathtaking and artistic acrobatic movement through placement, musicality, and transitions.
